Minister Tiilikainen to attend the summit of Agriculture Ministers and Grüne Woche in Berlin

Minister of Agriculture and the Environment Kimmo Tiilikainen will attend the summit of the Ministers of Agriculture in Berlin on 21 January. Minister Tiilikainen will also visit the Finnish stand at the Grüne Woche fair, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence.

Minister of Agriculture and the Environment Kimmo Tiilikainen will attend the summit of the world’s Ministers of Agriculture in Berlin to be held in connection with the Grüne Woche fair. This year’s theme is Agriculture and Water – the Key to Feeding the World.

Tiilikainen will also open the Finnish Pavilion at the Grüne Woche fair. The impressive country pavilion celebrates the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence, showcasing the diversity of Finland as a food country and destination for tourism. Several Finnish food and tourism companies and other actors will be present at the pavilion.

– On the global scale tourism is a rapidly growing sector and the trends are very positive in Finland as well. Combining tourism and the Finnish food culture is an excellent idea, which also means significant exports promotion opportunities, says Minister Tiilikainen.

Grüne Woche, now to be held on 20-29 January, is the world’s largest public exhibition for the food, agriculture, and gardening industry, which attracts about 400 000 visitors every year.

Minister Tiilikainen nimmt am Agrarministergipfel in Berlin teil und besucht die Grüne Woche
 

Der finnische Minister für Landwirtschaft und Umwelt, Kimmo Tiilikainen, nimmt am 21. Januar am Agrarministergipfel in Berlin teil. Der Minister wird in Berlin auf der Grünen Woche auch den Stand Finnlands besuchen, der in diesem Jahr im Kontext des Festjahres Suomi100 ausgerichtet wird.

Der Minister für Landwirtschaft und Umwelt, Kimmo Tiilikainen, nimmt in Berlin an dem im Rahmen der Grünen Woche ausgerichteten internationalen Agrarministergipfel teil. Das Thema des Gipfels lautet dieses Jahr Landwirtschaft und Wasser – Schlüssel zur Welternährung.

Der Minister eröffnet auf der Grünen Woche außerdem den Pavillon Finnlands. Der beeindruckende Länderpavillon ist Teil des Festjahres zur 100-jährigen Unabhängigkeit Finnlands und präsentiert Finnland als vielfältiges Gourmet- und Reiseland. Im Pavillon stellen sich unter anderem finnische Lebensmittel- und Tourismusunternehmen vor.

„Der Tourismus ist weltweit im Wachsen begriffen und auch in Finnland entwickelt sich die Tourismusbranche in eine positive Richtung. Die Verknüpfung von Tourismus und Gastronomiekultur ist eine hervorragende Idee, die das Potenzial besitzt, auch den Export zu fördern“, meint Minister Tiilikainen.

Die Grüne Woche ist die weltgrößte Messe für Landwirtschaft, Ernährung und Gartenbau. Sie findet vom 20.1. bis 29.1. in Berlin statt und zieht jährlich etwa 400 000 Besucher an.
