Recycled fertilisers solve tough problems

2.12.2025 | The first evaluations have been published on the preliminary impacts and results of Finland’s CAP Strategic Plan. The evaluations analysed the results and impact achieved related to the entrepreneurial income and competitiveness of agriculture, animal welfare, the biodiversity of agricultural environments and emissions from agriculture. The evaluations also contain recommendations for developing the CAP Strategic Plan and the next policy period.

The implementation group of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (NAP2030) supports implementation and monitoring of the plan cross-sectorally, strengthens the national preparation of adaptation-related EU matters, contributes to comprehensive security and increases awareness of climate risks and their management. The group is chaired by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

6.5.2025 | Nordic solutions to climate change adaptation will be sought at the Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation (NOCCA2025) to be held in Rovaniemi on 14–15 May 2025. The conference is part of Finland’s and Åland’s Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

4.7.2025 | The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has launched an extensive package of measures that aims to strengthen forest growth and carbon sinks on a long-term basis. The package is based on the Government Programme and it will contribute to the achievement of the climate targets. The measures have been prepared in close interaction with stakeholders and researchers. Various actors in the forest sector have a key role in the implementation of the measures.

29.8.2024 | Assessments will be conducted to examine the impact of the measures under the CAP Strategic Plan and make sure that public funds are used cost-effectively. The information produced by the assessments will be needed to guide the implementation of the CAP Plan and, in particular, to support the planning of the next financing period of the Common Agricultural Policy.
