Animal medication is strictly regulated

It is self-evident that sick animals need to be properly treated, and sometimes medication is also required. Vaccines are used to prevent diseases. The use of veterinary medicines must be such that it promotes the health and welfare of the animals. They may not be used, for example, to enhance the output or performance of the animals.

Veterinary medicines may not cause any significant damage to humans, animals and products derived from these, or the environment.
