Advisory services for rural industries
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry grants discretionary government transfers to rural advisory organisations each year upon application. The grants are targeted at measures to develop farming and other rural business activities and to maintain the vitality of rural areas in ways considered necessary for the society.
4H advisory services
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry supports 4H activities that aim to promote the vitality of rural areas and make them more attractive living environments by offering diverse hobbies and services, employing young people and providing them with opportunities to experience entrepreneurship.
4H is largest youth organisation in Finland. It includes a total of 270 associations receiving government funding. 4H associations cover approximately 90% of Finnish municipalities and have some 700,000 members.
