Organisation structure of the Ministry.

The political staff of the Ministry works in close cooperation with the civil servants with the aim to ensure that the actions and decisions of the Ministry make the best possible contribution to reaching the objectives set for them and to the welfare of the citizens.

Mr Antti Kurvinen has been the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland since April 2022. In his office he is assisted by Special Advisers.

The Ministry is composed of the Food Department and Natural Resources Department, and the Information and Research Division and Administration and Development Division, which are under the direct leadership of the Permanent Secretary. In the Ministry’s organisation the EU Coordination and International Affairs Unit is placed under the Food Department.
