European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund Programme for Finland 2021–2027
The key objectives of the Finnish programme of the European Maritime, Fisheries and aquaculture Fund are to support sustainable growth in the fisheries sector, secure the preconditions for primary production, accelerate renewal and innovation, and take environmental issues better into account.
The Fund will finance development and investment projects in the fisheries sector, which may relate to sustainable fishing, aquaculture, fish processing and trade, and environmental measures in the fisheries sector. The package also includes innovation programmes for fisheries. In addition, the Fund finances the local development of fisheries, maritime policy, fisheries control and the data collection programme for fisheries.
The programme's financial framework is approximately EUR 140 million for 2021-2027.
