Damage to agriculture

Damage to agriculture means damage to arable land, horticulture land, nursery plantation and harvested crop caused by a cervid.

After receiving a damage notification, the municipal rural business authority must inspect the place where the damage occurred and assess the damage without delay. If the application concerns crops that have not been completely damaged, the final assessment of the damage must be performed at the damage location at the earliest 14 days before harvesting.

The municipal rural business authority that has conducted the assessment must draw up assessment records of the survey and damage assessment in the form approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The records must indicate the geographical location and surface area of the damaged area, the type and amount of damage and whether the reported damage has been caused by cervids or in part or in full by other reasons.
