Minna-Mari Kaila appointed as Director General of the Food Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry

Today, on 22 April 2021, the Government has appointed Master of Science in Agriculture and Forestry Minna-Mari Kaila to the post of Director General of the Food Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for the period from 1 May 2021 to 30 April 2026. Kaila has served as Director General of the Food Department for a fixed term since 2017. A total of five persons applied for the post.

Before coming to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Kaila worked at the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners MTK as Director of Agriculture in 2013–2016 and as Director of Rural Entrepreneurship in 2011–2013. 
The Director General is responsible for the management and supervision of the Food Department, strategic leadership, and impact and performance in the management of the Department’s tasks.
