Agreement enabling export of poultry meat to China signed in Beijing

Minister Sari Essayah visited China to promote the business opportunities of Finnish companies and exports. The agenda included the signing of a protocol on the export conditions for poultry meat, and an agreement was reached on starting cooperation on food safety. Minister Essayah also visited a trade fair where Finnish companies showcased their products for the Chinese market.
Permit to export Finnish pork products to South Africa

South Africa has approved the import of Finnish heated pork products to its market. The export permit for heated pork products enables the export of products such as sausages and cold cuts made from pork. Export to South Africa can be started immediately.
Finnish oat flakes to be exported to China

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ) has approved the export of Finnish oat flakes to the Chinese market. The new import conditions are applicable to oat flakes consignments leaving Finland as from 19 October 2016.
The first Finnish establishment included in the list of pork exporters in China

The Finnish efforts to promote pork exports on the Chinese markets took a decisive step. The Chinese authority that inspects companies aiming for the Chinese markets declared that it has included the Finnish company Atria in its public list. The listing means that Atria has now been approved as an exporter on the Chinese market. The approval is yet to be confirmed by the Chinese authority.
