Pasi Patrikainen appointed as Director General of National Land Survey of Finland

Today, on 22 September 2022, the Government appointed Master of Social Sciences Pasi Patrikainen as the Director General of the National Land Survey of Finland for the term 10 October 2022 to 9 October 2027. A total of 10 candidates applied for the post. The previous holder of the post Arvo Kokkonen will retire on 1 October 2022.

Finland’s CAP Strategic Plan approved

The European Commission has approved Finland’s CAP Strategic Plan for 2023–2027. Finland’s CAP Strategic Plan is one of the seven plans first approved by the Commission. The CAP Strategic Plan and answers to the Commission’s comments and questions on the plan are available on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

However, the updated guidelines of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare on hygiene related to COVID-19 must be complied with.

Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry invites applications to fund projects promoting climate change resilience of cattle feeding

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced a call for applications for projects aimed to support the development of solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock production that will be open from 6 June to 18 July 2022. The application is part of the Catch the Carbon package of climate measures.
