Goals and results

Metsäalan muuttuva työelämä tarvitsee joustavan ja tarpeisiin nopeasti reagoivan koulutusjärjestelmän. Maa- ja metsätalousministeriö kokoaa kehittämisverkoston päivittämään metsäalan koulutuksen kehittämistarpeita. Verkostotyössä metsäalan koulutukseen vaikuttavat keskeisimmät toimijat (OKM, MMM, OPH, Metsäkoulutus ry, oppilaitosten edustajat tutkintotasoittain sekä koulutettua työvoimaa palkkaavat yritykset ja metsäalan koulutuksen asiantuntijat) priorisoivat alan tutkinto- ja täydennyskoulutuksen keskeisimpiä kehittämistarpeita (alan koulutuksessa havaittuja epäkohtia, osaamisvajeita ja uusia, tarvittavia osaamisalueita).

Verkoston työskentelyllä tuetaan koulutuksen toimijoiden kehittämistyötä (viranomaistahot, oppilaitosjohto, koulutusten suunnittelijat ja toteuttajat, Metsäkoulutus ry), parannetaan tiedonkulkua eri tahojen välillä sekä suunnataan mahdollisuuksien mukaan kehitystyöpanosta ja rahoitusta tärkeimpiin kohteisiin. Työskentely kohdistetaan sekä tutkinto- että täydennyskoulutukseen. Kehittämisverkosto innovoi, tukee ja pyrkii lisäämään oppilaitosten välistä yhteistyötä.

Verkoston tavoitteena on edistää metsäalan koulutukseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä niin, että alalle valmistuu kokonaistehokkaasti riittävästi uusia, työtehtäviin soveltuvia, ajantasaiset tiedot ja taidot omaavia, työmarkkinoiden tarvitsemia ammattilaisia. Verkostotyössä huomioidaan 2019 päivitetyn Kansallisen metsästrategian koulutuksen ja osaamisen strategisen hankkeen keskeiset painopistealueet ja tavoitteet (KMS 2025, s. 79: tavoitteet: 2 ja 3 mom.).
