As from 1 December 2024, the National Land Survey of Finland will not submit data from the base stations in the base station network of permanent satellite navigation (GNSS) receivers (FinnRef) in real time to the EUREF Permanent GNSS Network (EPN).
The roadmap of the Natural Resources Institute Finland presents two alternative scenarios for the change in the use of peatland fields in different regions. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sari Essayah visits Canada with a delegation of the Finnish forestry and bioeconomy actors on 24–28 November. Minister Essayah will deliver the keynote speech at the Scaling Up Bioeconomy Conference 2024 in Ottawa. Finland is the Feature Country of this year’s conference. In addition, the Minister and the business delegation will visit the province of Quebec.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland Sari Essayah met Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Portugal José Manuel Fernandes in Helsinki on 22 November. The bilateral meeting between the ministers was part of Minister Fernandes’s programme of his visit to Finland. During the visit, Minister Fernandes met various representatives of the administrative branch of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

The objective of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is to create and maintain the preconditions for sustainable and diversified use of renewable natural resources. The Ministry steers both the use of natural resources and research in the sector.
