2.7.2026 | The draft National Restoration Plan has been circulated for views. The plan specifies how Finland aims to implement the EU Nature Restoration Regulation and improve the state of nature in the years to come. The draft should be ready to be submitted to the European Commission in the autumn. 6.3.2026 | In 2025, about 6,600 hectares of forest habitats were protected under the Forest Biodiversity Programme for Southern Finland METSO. 22.3.2022 | On Tuesday 22 March, the Climate Policy Roundtable discussed the climate plan for the land use sector. The discussions focused on the impacts of climate measures in the land use sector on biodiversity and the need to take into account just transition in a comprehensive way.
