Satu Haapaniemi appointed Special Adviser to Minister Leppä

Satu Haapaniemi (M.Soc.Sc.) has been appointed Special Adviser to Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Jari Leppä. Haapaniemi will take up her duties on 4 March. Haapaniemi will serve as Special Adviser Risto Lahti’s deputy until 19 April, while Lahti stands as a candidate in the parliamentary elections.

Haapaniemi holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Jyväskylä. She will be responsible for matters related to agriculture and foodstuffs under the administrative branch of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Haapaniemi is from Kokkola in Central Ostrobothnia. She previously worked as Parliamentary Adviser to Sirkka-Liisa Anttila. 

Teppo Säkkinen will continue as Special Adviser to the Minister responsible for natural resources.
